We hope that everyone is taking the proper precautions to avoid getting the COVID 19 virus.  In order to protect both our clients and our courageous volunteers who are willing to continue to come to our Cupboard to help those in the community who are in need of food, we are taking the following steps to ensure everyone’s safety.

• New hours of operation are Tuesdays 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.and Wednesdays 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

• Our building is on lockdown and open to allow our volunteers only to enter.

• All clients and others in need of food are to drive to the side door, open your trunk, and a volunteer will place the food products in your trunk for you.  No one is to exit their car.

• If you are not a registered client of OAFC, you have the following options:

  1. Drive to the side door of the building, give your name and number of family members living with you and receive a Sunshine Emergency Box along with some fresh produce and meat, or
  2. Call the Cupboard at 610-857-4000 and do a temporary registration over the phone and then drive to the side door of the cupboard for a full order.  After this crisis ends, you must then return to the Cupboard with a photo ID and proof of address in order to continue to receive food.

OAFC is determined to continue to serve our community as long as we can.  If any of our volunteers show symptoms and are diagnosed with COVID-19, we will be forced to temporarily close our doors until further notice.  For this reason we ask that you follow these instructions carefully.

Volunteers Needed

Would you like to assist the OAFC but can't volunteer to come into the cupboard during our working hours? We have need for volunteers to serve on a number of committees. We would like to hear from you if you have talent that would fit the needs of the following:

Serving the octorara community

The Need

Hunger has many different faces. Women, children, mothers, fathers, infants and the elderly. Hunger doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care where you live or what you look like. Many hard working people living week to week are just a paycheck away from needing help. No one should ever go hungry but many people do. That's why we do what we do. We are a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to feeding hunger.

Help us help others. Please support your local food cupboard.

Hunger Doesn't Take A Rest
